Soft colour, modern pieces

For a fresh look, choose a soft colour and give a modern twist with some fun and funky pieces. Think about painting or recovering a bed-head, adding pendant lights over side tables, go asymmetrical with side tables, unpredictable can be more interesting.

Fashionista Files : Leilunar

What a hot spot! This fashion haven in New Lambton gets it right when it comes to the modern classic mix. The owner’s love for fashion and design evident in a recent in store chat. Having opened the store 7 years ago, Andrea Haywood, aims to provide fashion that is comfortable, mixing feminine with a little masculine edge to provide her customers with a modern twist to classic pieces.

Having grown up watching black and white movies with her grandmother and spending time in her favourite places, Paris and London, Andrea returned to Newcastle to open her own boutique. She describes the stores style as Parisian Apartment. The aim of her store is to provide affordable modern clothing that women feel great wearing.

It’s a busy time for this fashionista, expecting to launch an online store in May, and keep her Facebook¬†and Pinterest,¬†followers fashion ready, Andrea will be on the move. Her fashion predictions for the coming season include, rich brocades, leather and diamonties, mixing prints, lace and safari/camouflage. Her tips include mixing feminine with masculine, camouflage pants with silky sequined top and heels or leather skirt with sheer top and heels.
