Fun With Lighting

This look is about fun and personality. Most rooms use one or two sources of light, so either a few down lights or one pendant light. Step it up by adding more and or changing the position of the pendants lights. Here we have four types of lighting, two copper tones, two black. Pendants centered over table, wall light over one chair, table light over other, for reading and the cross with lights just for fun. We don’t use them all at once, however you will find it nice to be able to adjust the light to suit your mood, while adding visual interest to your room. Start by adding a lamp and see if you become like me and get completely carried away by the soft light and mood, lamps create.

County Dining

County Dining are the new ensemble occupying the upper floor of The Sourdough Bakery at Morpeth. If you are in Morpeth this is the place to dine. Impeccable service and food, made for the perfect lunch.   I particularly loved the Bone Marrow on Toast and the Citrus Tart.

Uprising

Posted on

Uprising Kitchen & Bakery, has been around for a while, producing their own breads and pastries, with a distinct quality only found in produce made with love. The bread is crusty and substantial, the tarts crumbly and not too sweet. Yet the item I can’t go past is the flakey, buttery croissant. All made on site. The cafe is modern, light and fresh, with a little room for kids to move in the surrounding courtyard. If your like me and have a couple of little ones grab your coffee and pastries and walk a few metres down to the nearby play area. (Milford St). Wednesday – Friday 7am-2pm.¬†Saturday – Sunday 9am-2pm.
